The Burnt Trees Project is a visual documentation of photographs, design and installation showing the lifelessness and regrowth since the 2005 fire in Kootenay National Park. The destruction along Highway 93 inspired an awareness for how interesting damaged trees could be. The images produced in our 4 season collective reveals a panorama, depictions of new growth and the surrounding landscapes.
The AIRdirondack Project is an artistic endeavour organized by Creative Airdrie. I was please to be one of 8 artists selected to take part in this. My chair design was based on a photograph of kite surfers that I took at Old Man Reservoir. I spent most of my time in August painting and was happy to have it picked up to join the other chairs. My AIRdirondack chair design, ‘Let’s Go Fly A Kite’ is on display with the all the other chairs at the Genesis Place (800 East Lake Blvd NE, Airdrie) until September 28th and up for auction at 32 Auctions (http://bit.ly/2cuv7UV). Its fun to see them all together.
